Milkweed Editions published The Century in October 2020. Reviews of The Century appear in Orion, Ploughshares, the Cleveland Review of Books, the Boston Globe, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the Southern Indiana Review, and the Portland (ME) Press-Herald (an advance notice appeared here). I am grateful for the perceptive readers this book has had, not least Dan Beachy-Quick, R.A. Villanueva, and Monica Ong, who wrote blurbs for it. Poems from The Century have been published widely, beginning in 2010 or so. (The earliest poems in this collection were written in 2009.)
In October 2021, a first performance of “An archaeology” took place alongside works by five other writers and artists. The performance took place over Zoom. A second digital staging was part of the Little Grassy Lit Fest in 2022.
In 2023, I collaborated with director Jeanne Tiehen and students from University College Dublin to stage a performance of An Archaeology in the UCD Classical Museum. We revised and reprised this performance, with a different cast, in April 2024 in the Trapdoor Theatre (photos below).
