I’m teaching three online workshops this spring, all via Maine Media College. In late March until early May, there’s POETRY RESTART, which is just going to be a lot of fun, a lot of generative exercises, a lot of community, a lot of encouragement. Ideal for anyone—beginner or practiced writer. The information for that is here. Then in May, I’m teaching an immersive course concentrating on the forms of the Western canon and then moving into an exploration of responsive form (forms we develop via attention to the world, our bodies, our language, our perceptions). Information on that here. Lastly, also in May, a short workshop on developing evocative texts for use in visual art. Information on that is here.

“Broken Blue and White Handled Mug, Maker Unidentified,” part of ARTWORD
Very pleased that a poem I wrote about a small, broken ceramic object in the collection of the Portland (ME) Museum of Art will have a place in a publication and reading celebrating the museum and its collections later this spring. Here is the broken mug.
Mercy Street Reading Series, March 7
The poet and editor Ruben Quesada has begun a new series of readings (online), each of which feature six readers in sixty minutes. I’m grateful to have been invited to be part; I’ll be reading on Sunday, March 7 at 7 p.m. US Central Time with five others. Information here (it’s a ticketed reading).

Winter workshop at Maine Media College + Workshops
I’ll be teaching another transdisciplinary seasonal observation workshop at MMCW beginning December 5 (5 and 12 Dec., 9 and 16 Jan.). We will be thinking about water, air, light, dark, stars, fire, silver, walking, quiet, cold, and pause. You are very welcome if you would like to join; information is here.
