A pair of very short stories, “Apartment 203” and “Arrondissement”, are in Winter Fiction, a limited-run chapbook from Milkweed Editions, which is available free with a $25 purchase on their website this winter.
Writing
“Historical fragment” as a Motionpoem
My poem “Historical fragment” will be made into a Motionpoem next year, and will have its premiere at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis.
SWEETBRIAR, forthcoming from dancing girl press
My chapbook Sweetbriar will be published in autumn 2013 by dancing girl press, and I couldn’t be more excited or pleased. I’m in great company there.
Sweetbriar is about heredity—how things are passed through a family. It’s about my family in particular, and about the family Rosaceae, which includes roses, stone fruits (like peaches, cherries, and plums), rowan trees, and brambles.
‘Pink’ in DIAGRAM
A poem, ‘Pink’, is in DIAGRAM 12.5. DIAGRAM consistently publishes stuff I wish I’d written, and the editor’s writing is some of my favorite stuff right now.
“She believes she is traveling” in UCITY REVIEW
UCity Review has taken my poem “She believes she is traveling” for their December 2013 issue (yes, 2013!). It’ll be online then, and in a limited-edition print version of the issue, with a letterpress cover printed by The Firecracker Press, about six months later. I have a copy of their first issue, which is beautiful. Glad to have work there.
