I was awarded an artist’s grant and a month-long residency at the Vermont Studio Center. I’ll be there in June, and I’m hoping to finish a draft of the novel-in-progress while I’m there. I also want to work on ordering a new manuscript of poems—or actually reordering an old manuscript that I just realized some newer poems would fit into quite well—and transcribing things from old notebooks.

poems in LA VAGUE
I have two poems about apartments and stars and old suitcases (etc.) in La Vague, which is quite a beautiful online journal.
SWEETBRIAR
My chapbook, Sweetbriar, is available from Dancing Girl Press. Afaa Michael Weaver writes that “Sweetbriar invites the reader to the poet’s childhood so we can share her discovery of a child’s knowledge and the layers of courage it takes, as an adult, to make that journey. This is a delightful collection, poems that name what is precious and the ways we should honor memory, that precarious world in which those precious things live.”
I also did the cover design.
an essay in kindred
An essay from The Book of Simultaneity (record of my travels during summer 2013) is in Kindred.
“II” in DIAGRAM
My poem “II”, which is about concentration camps and the moon, is in DIAGRAM.
