I am amazed and grateful to be a recipient of a 2016 National Endowment for the Arts grant in Literature (prose). I applied with excerpts from 1873 and it was hugely validating to receive this grant on their merits. Immense thanks to the jury!!

“Telephone [1]” and “Century lesson”, both of which use fragments of writing by Ingeborg Bachmann (the former throughout; the latter as an epigraph) will appear in the Winter 2015/16 issue of Beloit Poetry Journal. Thanks to the lovely and patient and kind and very thoughtful editors there.

jubilat has long been on my list of journals I would love to have work appear in. Thanks to Caryl Pagel for thinking of me and asking to read new work, two poems—”Ceriserie”, which is part of a manuscript by the same title that takes flight from Joshua Clover’s poem “Ceriserie“, and “One meter squared”.

I was nominated for a 2015 Pushcart Prize, which was a complete surprise. Kind of always thought those were for other, realer poets. Thanks, nominator, whoever you are.
